UCLA Boys Soccer College ID Camps

UCLA Boys Soccer College ID Camps are 3-day summer camps targeted towards young male soccer players between 14-19 years old, who wants to try the life of a collegiate soccer player and get challenged in his game play. The camp takes place on the fields around UCLA’s campus, including North Athletic Field and the Intramural Field, which both are practice fields for the UCLA Bruin Soccer teams.

The university of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), is a faculty that believes in optimism. This approach to research has helped the university earn 13 Nobel Prizes, 12 MacArthur Fellows, more NCAA titles than any university (113) and more Olympic medals than most nations (261). The faculty has been a huge drive in the creation of the internet and the discovery of reversed osmosis, more than 140 companies have been created based on technology developed at UCLA. Optimism is the drive of the university and the way they keep on making new discoveries and accomplishments.

The camp staff consists of experienced coaches from the UCLA Bruins Soccer coaching team. Head Coach Jorge Salcedo has been the head coach for 13 seasons, which makes him the second-longest tenured men’s soccer head coach in UCLA history. He has during his career at Bruins led the team to NCAA Tournament appearances in each of his 12 seasons and winning six conference titles. He has signed the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation six times, where the players went all the way to the NCAA Championship game twice, the College Cup Semifinals and to the quarterfinals once. Salcedo has been mentoring 34 Major League Soccer Draft Picks, including 17 first round selections during his time at Bruins. Assistant Coach Phil Marfuggi has been with Bruins for the past three seasons, he has experience in coaching the goalkeepers and assisting with strength and conditioning. Assistant Coach Luciano Fusco is in his first season as a coach for Bruins. He has previously been the head coach for the DeAnza Force ECNL.

UCLA Boys Soccer College ID Camps are for male soccer players who already have extensive competitive soccer experience and wants to play soccer on a Division 1 collegiate level. The overnight experience will include a range of soccer-related activities, such as viewing an international game film, lectures on conditioning, and a discussion of college options, all done to help develop a soccer athlete with multiple talents and understanding of the game.
