Girls Soccer College Bound Players Academy at UNC

UNC Girls Soccer College Bound Players Academy has designed, by the NCGSC (North Carolina girls soccer camp), a camp specifically for the college bound soccer players.
Camp location is UNC/Chapel Hill, NC. This camp focuses on the needs both technically and tactically of the highest level field players and goalkeepers, alike. The focus will be to imitate the types of training and expectations players and goalkeepers will need if considering a college soccer career. They are evaluated by their staff coaches throughout the week and provided with comprehensive feedback about their performance.

A variety of fields are utilized for the weeks of camp in Chapel Hill. The main site is Finley Fields located by the University’s golf course. Only minutes from the dorms, this complex has eight Bermuda fields where a majority of the camp will train. There are also several smaller complexes that can also be used.
All dormitories are located on the UNC campus and a reasonable distance from the main street of downtown Chapel Hill.

Chapel Hill, the nation’s first public university, is a global higher education leader known for innovative teaching, research and public service. UNC has earned a reputation as one of the best universities in the world. Carolina prides itself on a strong, diverse student body, academic opportunities not found anywhere else, and a value unmatched by any public university in the nation.
UNC is a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities, Carolina regularly ranks as the best value for academic quality in U.S. public higher education.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate, master’s, doctoral, and professional degrees and certificates.

The staff for each camp is carefully picked to ensure each camper’s experience is educational and positive. Girls are placed on teams containing 18-20 players (ages 12-18). Each team has two coaches allowing for a 1-9.5 camper to coach ratio. In certain cases, where the coach is extremely talented and performs at a consistently high level, he or she may coach a team by him or herself.

Camp’s objective is to create a training highly competitive environment, preparing for the rigors of college soccer and to get the most out of each player and goalkeeper. This is the very same approach used with the North Carolina women’s soccer training system.
