The Newman University Jets Women’s Soccer Summer Camp is a 3-day event for 13 to 18 years old girls. It will be from June 27 to June 29 on the Newman University campus. Conducting this soccer summer camp is the Newman University women’s soccer coaching staff and its current players. Additionally, this camp is fitting for those who dream of competing at the elite college level. The camp will replicate an environment identical to that of the college level. It also concludes sessions regarding physical and mental conditioning. Moreover, this event is set to start at 5:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM.
Newman University, originally Sacred Heart Junior College, is a private, coeducational, nonprofit, Catholic, liberal arts university in Wichita, Kansas. Its name is in honor of John Henry Cardinal Newman, a notable 19th-century Catholic cardinal. The university is an affiliation of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ. It is also part of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities and the Council of Independent Colleges. Furthermore, Newman University as a whole has an accreditation from the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. It is using a semester-based academic calendar and is currently serving around 2,800 undergraduate students. Aaron Avila is the Head Coach of the Newman University Jets women’s soccer team. He is the former Barton Community College women’s soccer Head Coach. Coach Aaron Avila is also a former Assistant Coach at the Tyler Junior College. Then, the team’s new Assistant Coach is Dylan Gruntzel. He is a Greater Wichita Athletic League Coach of the Year awardee. Finally, the Jets women’s soccer Student Assistant Coaches are Madi Decker and Cydney Padilla.
