Wake Forest Women’s Soccer Elite ID Camp is a camp for high school age girls located at Wake Forest University (Reynolda Campus).
Wake Forest University, founded in 1834, is a distinguished institution of higher education located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It comprises of an undergraduate college, a graduate school of arts and sciences, and several professional schools to include the School of Law, Wake Forest University School of Medicine, the Divinity School, and Babcock Graduate School of Management. Reynolda campus is situated on 340 acres, which also includes Reynolda Gardens and Reynolda Village for shopping, restaurants, and other services. About a mile from the campus is the acclaimed Graylyn International Conference Center, a 55-acre estate owned by the university. For activities on and off campus, Wake Forest University has an active student union which organizes campus activities to include concerts, Tuesday trivia, movie nights and weekend outings. In addition there are a variety of sports activities to include tennis, swimming, miles of jogging trails, and two state-of-the-art exercise centers. For spectators, Wake Forest plays a full schedule of Atlantic Coast Conference sports and both JD and LL.
The Wake Forest Women’s ID Camp aims to identify the top players and find players that can earn roster spots or earn scholarships as players on the Wake Forest women’t team. WFU women’s soccer hosts a variety of camps throughout the year including a Wake Forest spring ID camp and a series of Wake Forest College Soccer ID camps & clinics.
Tony Da Luz
Head Coach
Da Luz is one of only 10 coaches in Wake Forest history across all sports to win 200 games at the helm of the Demon Deacons. As head coach of the Wake Forest women’s soccer team for 19 of the program’s 22 seasons, Tony da Luz has built the Demon Deacons into an ACC and national powerhouse. Wake Forest has constantly produced some of the most talented players in the nation. Da Luz achieved success as a player as a midfielder and defender while at San Diego. He was an All-WCC honorable mention selection in both 1981 and 1982. As team captain in 1982, he led the Toreros in assists and earned the team MVP award. Da Luz earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from San Diego in 1985.
