Oglethorpe University Stormy Petrels Men’s Soccer Residential ID Camp

The Oglethorpe University Stormy Petrels Men’s Soccer Residential ID Camp is for all high school boys who are looking to develop their soccer skills through a fun training environment. It is a three-day event that will run from the 27th of July until the 29th of July. The training program is going to take place at the beautiful Oglethorpe University campus in Atlanta, Georgia. Additionally, this soccer identification camp is ideal for those who desire to play at the collegiate level. There will be competitive games that will allow the players to showcase their exceptional skills. Moreover, the program is open to both residential and commuter campers. Registration fee is $385 for residential campers and $300 for commuter campers. It will be under the direction of the Stormy Petrels men’s soccer coaching staff. Overall, the experience will be challenging but fun.

Oglethorpe University Stormy Petrels Men’s Soccer Residential ID Camp Organizers

Head Coach Jon Akin, a native of Pensacola, Florida is leading the Oglethorpe University Stormy Petrels men’s soccer team. He is now entering his 16th season at the helm of the Stormy Petrels men’s soccer program. Coach Jon Akin is a bachelor’s degree graduate from Saint Leo University. Additionally, Coach Akin is a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) “A” coaching license holder. He is also a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Premier Diploma holder. Ultimately, Coach Akin is a two-time SCAC Coach of the Year awardee. He is also a two-time SAA Coach of the Year awardee. In 2016, he led the Stormy Petrels to their second SAA regular-season title. Then, the Oglethorpe University Stormy Petrels men’s soccer assistant coaches are Joe Baia, Reed Norton, Jaime Benedetti, Lewis Sharpe, Cameron Grassmyer, Micah Akin, Luke Collins, and Alberto Gonzalez. Coach Joe Baia is at the same time the team’s director of soccer operations. Meanwhile, Coach Reed Norton is also working as the team’s recruiting coordinator.
