Over the course of Spring, Summer and Fall, The Eastern Washington University Head Women’s Soccer Coach Chad Bodnar and coaching staff are hosting three Adidas Eagle ID camps for aspiring female collegiate soccer players on Eastern Washington University campus in Cheney, Washington.
As a driving force for the culture, economy and vitality of the Inland Northwest region, Estern Washington University is a regional, comprehensive public university located in Cheney, Wash., with programs also offered in Bellevue, Everett, Kent, Seattle, Shoreline, Spokane, Tacoma and Vancouver. The university’s beautiful campus, NCAA Division I athletics and opportunities for hands-on, real-world learning provide a classic, yet unique college experience. It’s focus on personal attention, faculty excellence and community collaboration allows Eastern to accomplish its mission for preparing well-rounded students ready to hit the ground running in their chosen career fields.
The camps are great opportunities for their staff to see interested individuals on campus and work with players in their environment. Eagle Adidas Camps are designed to develop technical skills, tactical awareness, and essential insight into the training and environment for a NCAA D1 collegiate player. The EWU coaching staff will run a collegiate type training sessions, for both field players and goalkeepers, and there will be both small and large sided games for campers.
The Coaching Staff include Head Coach: Chad Bodnar who has completed his third season as Head Coach of the Eastern Washington University women’s soccer program with his impressive records of achievements, Assistant Coach Max Weber who joined the Eastern Washington University soccer program as its top assistant coach in March 2014 and Goalkeeper Coach Rich Cullen who joined the Eastern Washington women’s soccer program as goalkeeper coach for the 2014 season.
Bhodar holds a USSF A license and NSCAA Premier Diploma, Weber currently holds a USSF “B” License and has been the Three Rivers Soccer Club Assistant Director of Coaching for the women’s program and Cullen currently runs the Washington Goalkeeping Academy in the Spokane Valley.
The one day ID Camp is open for currently enrolled high school girls and potential junior college transfers that will focus on evaluation for potential future Eagles and is designed for female players focusing on technical, tactical, and physical demands of Division I collegiate soccer. The camp curriculum has been developed by the EWU Women’s soccer coaching staff.
