2017 Columbia College Women’s Soccer ID Training Camp

The 2017 Columbia College Women’s Soccer ID Training Camp is on July 20, 2017. It is inviting all high school aged female soccer players. The goal of this training camp is to provide campers a first-hand experience on collegiate level competition and training. It will focus on developing technical skills and tactical awareness. Goalkeepers will also have their skills specific training sessions. In addition, this is a chance for players who wants to play at the collegiate level to showcase their abilities. Overall, the event will be a challenging but fun experience. The camp will take place at the Marvin Owens Field on the Columbia College campus. It is set to start at 1:45 PM and end at 5:30 PM.

Columbia College is a private coeducational college in Columbia, Missouri. It is an affiliation by a covenant of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The college has a Higher Learning Commission accreditation. It is offering 10 associate degrees, 59 bachelor’s degrees, and 4 master’s degrees. The women’s soccer team has 3 American Midwest Conference Regular Season championships. Likewise, they also have 3 American Midwest Conference Tournament championships.

 

2017 Columbia College Women’s Soccer ID Training Camp Organizers

John Klein is the Cougars women’s soccer team head coach at the same time he is also the men’s soccer team head coach. Coach Klein holds the most number of wins in Columbia history. He is leading the team since 2000. He is a former professional soccer player playing for the Colorado Foxes and the Miami Freedom. Then, Meg Goddard is the women’s soccer assistant coach. She is a former graduate assistant coach at Ottawa University. Also, coach Goddard is an Academy Coach of the Year awardee. Finally, the team’s graduate assistant coach is Gordon Lyng.
