The 2017 McKendree University Men’s Soccer College ID Camp is open for all 9th grade and older players. It is 2-day training camp from July 27 to July 28, 2017. The camp will give players an experience to play and train in a collegiate level environment. It will provide participants a head start to a successful soccer career. There will be sessions that will focus on the technical and tactical aspects of the game. The camp will also focus on improving goalkeeper’s skills. The McKendree Men’s Soccer Coaching Staff will handle the training sessions. Coaches from NCAA Division I, II, and III will also provide their inputs in the training program. In essence, the camp will prepare the athletes physically and mentally. This is an opportunity to learn and compete with other excellent players. Overall, the camp will provide an exceptional and fun experience. The location of the camp is on the McKendree University campus.
McKendree University, a private university is Illinois’ oldest college. It is also the oldest college in the nation. Its name is in honor of Bishop William McKendree of the Methodist church. It currently accommodates around 2,300 students. And, at the moment it has 34 sports teams. The university teams are known as the Bearcats. The Bearcats soccer team is playing in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The McKendree University’s identity colors are purple and white. In 2012, the Bearcats began its campaign in NCAA Division II.
2017 McKendree University Men’s Soccer College ID Camp Organizers
The university’s coaching staff organizes this summer ID camp. The university men’s soccer team Head Coach is Scott Gyllenborg. He is a former Southern Illinois University Cougars assistant coach. With his coaching success and potential, he was named Head Coach for the Bearcats last December 2016. The team’s assistant coaches are Dave Cole and Kyle Waller. Then, the Goalkeeper Coach is Jamie Swanner.
