Bowdoin College Men’s Soccer Senior Elite Residential Camp

The Bowdoin College Men’s Soccer Senior Elite Residential Camp is an annual event for excellent soccer players to challenge and enhance their abilities. It is a 4-day camp from July 19 to July 22, . It is inviting 10th grade up to pre-college male soccer players. The camp will highlight on enhancing goalkeeping, dribbling, shooting, passing, and heading techniques. Likewise, it will provide attendees an in-depth knowledge regarding the tactical aspects of the game. This is also an opportunity for players who wants to play at the college level to receive recognition from top college coaches. This event is an initiative of the New England Soccer Academy and Bowdoin College coaching staff. It will accommodate both residential and commuter campers. The camp will take place on the Bowdoin College campus.

Bowdoin College is a private coeducational college in Brunswick, Maine. It is a member of the Annapolis Group as well as the Oberlin Group. The college is 6th in the National Liberal Arts Colleges, rankings. It is also 13th in the Best Value Schools rankings. Currently, it accommodates around 1,700 undergraduate students. The student to faculty ratio is 9 is to 1. Moreover, the college has 30 intercollegiate sports teams. They are competing in the New England Small College Athletic Conference of NCAA Division 3. They call themselves the Polar Bears. Black and white are their identity colors. The Bowdoin College men’s soccer team has already 2 NESCAC Championships.

 

Bowdoin College Men’s Soccer Senior Elite Residential Camp Organizers

Scott Wiercinski is the Polar Bears men’s soccer head coach since March 2013. The college men’s soccer team has a back-to-back NESCAC Championships. Coach Scott Wiercinski is the former University of Chicago head coach. Additionally, he is also the former Brown University assistant coach. Coach Scott is also a 2-time All-New England Small College Athletic Conference goalkeeper awardee. The Polar Bears assistant coach is Peter Mills. Coach Mills is the former head coach of the U-12 Seacoast United Soccer Club team.
