Cal State Monterey Bay Women’s Soccer Residential College ID Camp

The Cal State Monterey Bay Women’s Soccer Residential College ID Camp is a 4-day event from July 17 to July 20, . It is open to all female soccer players who aspire to play at the collegiate level. The program will be accommodating both residential and commuter campers. The training involves technical and tactical sessions along with small sided and full sided matches. Thus, it is an opportunity for outstanding players to showcase their skills in front of the university’s coaching staff. In essence, the event will be a competitive but enjoyable experience. The event will take place at the Otter Sports Complex which is a state of the art training facility.

California State University Monterey Bay is a public coeducational university in Monterey County, California. It is a member of the California State University system as well as the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. The university has a Western Association of Schools and Colleges accreditation. It is 58th in the Regional Universities West, rankings. Also, it is 13th in the Top Public Schools rankings. Currently, the university’s total student population is around 7,300. The student to faculty ratio is 25 is to 1. Moreover, the university has 13 intercollegiate sports teams. They are participating in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. Their nickname is Otters.  Bay blue, valley green, and golden sand are their identity colors.

 

Cal State Monterey Bay Women’s Soccer Residential College ID Camp Facilitators

Laura VanWart is the Otters women’s soccer team head coach. She is at the same time the Mustang Soccer Club head coach. She is also the former assistant director of the Bay Oaks Soccer Club. Coach Laura VanWart is the 2006 Bay Valley Conference Coach of the Year. The Otters women’s soccer assistant coaches are Hamid Sedehi and Stephanie Busch. Coach Sedehi is the former director of soccer for the Kickers Soccer Club while Coach Busch is the former Lake Tahoe Community College women’s soccer assistant coach.
