Davenport University Men’s Soccer Elite Fall ID Camp

The Davenport University Men’s Soccer Elite Fall ID Camp gears on player development in a motivational and challenging environment. It a 10-hour training program on the 4th of November at the Farmers Athletic Complex in Davenport University campus. This Fall ID Camp is for all male soccer players in grades 9 to 12. It is ideal for those who are pushing to play at the next level. In addition, the camp will enhance the player’s technical and tactical abilities. The program also includes sessions on defending as a team, playing against pressure, and attacking. Furthermore, it also integrates goalkeeper specific sessions. This event is an initiative of the Davenport University men’s soccer coaching staff and its current players.

Davenport University, originally Grand Rapids Business College, is a private, coeducational, nonprofit university in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Its founder is Conrad G. Swensburg, a prominent Union Army Veteran. The university has also other campuses in Holland, Lansing, Livonia, Midland, and Warren, Michigan. Moreover, Davenport University consists 4 colleges, namely, the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Health Professions, the College of Technology, and the Donald W. Maine College of Business. As a whole, the university has an accreditation from the  Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. It also has a certification from the State Approval Agency of the Department of Education. In the Regional Universities Midwest 2018 edition of Best Colleges, Davenport University is at top 122. Additionally, Davenport University college sports teams in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference of NCAA Division II. They are the Panthers.

 

Davenport University Men’s Soccer Elite Fall ID Camp Organizers

The Head Coach of the Davenport University men’s soccer team is Chris Hughes. Under his leadership, the Panthers has already a NAIA National Championship, Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Regular Season, and Tournament Titles. Ultimately, Coach Hughes is the 2015 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Coach of the Year awardee. He is also the 2014 NSCAA/NAIA National Coach of the Year awardee. Then, the team’s Assistant Coaches are Stuart Collins, Kevin Butterfield, and Dzenan Catic. The Head JV Coach is Ross Anderson. And finally, Omar Mansah is the Volunteer Assistant Coach.
