Defiance College Men’s Soccer Camps

The Defiance College Men’s Soccer Team is hosting a Summer College ID Camp. The camp is a valuable opportunity for High School aged prospects (9th – 12th Grade) to compete in a quality environment against elite players from other high schools under the instruction of college coaches.

Defiance college is a very small, highly residential college located in Defiance, Ohio, United States. It is an independent, co-educational liberal arts college affiliated with the United Church of Christ. The campus includes eighteen buildings and access to the 200-acre (80.9 ha) Thoreau Wildlife Sanctuary. It advertises its national recognition for its programs of service and engagement.The Defiance College Yellow Jackets compete in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference  (HCAC) as a NCAA Division III school. The Defiance College Athletic Department staff offers several camps for children and prospective student-athletes year round.

The Coaching staff are Head Coach, Jordan Valentine and Assistant Coach, Alex Collier with assistance from current Defiance College Men’s Soccer Players.

The Head Coach  Jordan Valentine will begin his second season as head coach of the Defiance men’s soccer program in 2016.  Valentine became the seventh head coach in program history and came to Defiance after a two-year stay at Penn State-New Kensington. Valentine holds English Football Association Level 1 and 2 coaching licenses along with several NSCAA coaching diplomas. Alex Collier; Assistant Coach will be in his first year with the Defiance College men’s soccer team in 2016 as an assistant coach. Collier’s coaching experience began in 2011 as a volunteer coach for Shelbyville High School’s junior varsity soccer team (2011-13).  During his tenure, he assisted the head coach in daily tasks as well as design practice plans and drills for the junior varsity squad. As a student at Butler, Collier served as a Student Manager of Soccer Operations. While at Defiance, Collier will be working towards his masters in business administration and will graduate in May of 2018.
