The Ferrum College Panthers Women’s Soccer Fall Camp is inviting freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior girl soccer players. This is an opportunity for aspiring athletes to present themselves as a quality recruit. This training program aims to improve the player’s technical and tactical understanding of the game. There will be competitive 5v5 and 11v11 games. In addition, there will also be 2v2 shooting games. Participants will also have the opportunity to get to know the college women’s soccer coaching staff and its players. This camp is going to be a fun and challenging experience. It will be on October 22 on the Ferrum College campus.
Ferrum College is a private, coeducational institution in Ferrum, Virginia. The college is an affiliation of the United Methodist Church. It is utilizing a semester-based academic calendar with acceptance rate at 72 percent. Moreover, Ferrum College has an accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It is 46th in the Regional Colleges South, 2018 edition of Best Colleges rankings. Currently, Ferrum College has a 1,500 undergraduate student population. The student to faculty ratio is 16:1. Ferrum College supports 23 intercollegiate sports teams. They are competing in the USA South Athletic Conference of NCAA Division III. Furthermore, the college athletes call themselves the Panthers. Ferrum College Panthers Women’s Soccer Fall Camp Organizers
James Lofton is the Panthers women’s soccer team head coach since the 2014 season. Coach James Lofton if the former Rappahannock County High School head coach. He is also the former Shenandoah University men’s soccer assistant coach. Coach Lofton holds a NSCAA National Coaching Diploma as well as an Advanced National Coaching Diploma. Then, the team’s assistant coach is Erin Saleeby. She is with the team since August 2014. Finally, completing the Ferrum College women’s soccer coaching staff is Wes Lewis. Coach Lewis is the volunteer assistant coach. He is a USSF National “C” License and USSF National Youth License holder.
