Gannon University Women’s Soccer College Prep Camp will be on July 9, – July 12, . It is a 4-day event that is open for 15 – 18 years old female soccer players. It will test and showcase soccer skills. College coaches from NCAA D1, D2, D3, NJCAA, and NAIA teams will attend the event. Players will experience collegiate soccer atmosphere. They will join in position-focused drills. Players will receive an assessment on their strengths and weaknesses. Correspondingly. they will learn the technical aspect of the game. The participants will also compete against other potential talents. Small-sided and position-specific games are also included in the program. In essence, the camp will be an extraordinary and fun experience.
Gannon University is a private, co-educational Catholic Diocesan university. It is a member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference in NCAA Division II. Its goal is to help students excel in competition, in the classroom, and in the community. Gannon University athletic teams are known as the Golden Knights. Gannon University Women’s Soccer College Prep Camp Organizers
Head Coach Colin Petersen will lead the Women’s College Soccer Prep camp. He is a former Gannon soccer great. A two-time PSAC Coach of the Year (2008, 2015). And also, the 2015 NSCAA Atlantic Region Coach of the Year. He led the Lady Knights to a number 6 finish last season. And, a university record, number 1 finish in 2015. Furthermore, they reach the semifinals in the last two years. Colin Petersen is the winningest coach of the Gannon Women’s Soccer team. With the team for 17 years, Coach Colin heads the coaching staff since February 13, 2002. The team’s Assistant Coaches are Lia Petersen, Afrim Latifi, and Skhosi Mgobozi. Equally important, Chris Pike is the Strength and Conditioning Coach.
