The Gardner-Webb University Men’s Soccer Summer ID Camp will be on July 22, . It is an initiative of the Gardner-Webb University Men’s Soccer coaching staff. The camp is open to 15 to 18 years old male soccer players. Its purpose is to immerse participants into a collegiate level training environment. The program is a simulation of the Gardner-Webb University Men’s Soccer training regimen. Correspondingly, it will focus on improving the player’s technical and tactical capabilities. The camp is also an opportunity for outstanding players to showcase their skills in front of college coaches. Camper will experience playing in a competitive small sided and full sided games. The camp will take place on the Gardner-Webb University campus.

The head coach of the men’s soccer team is Tony Setzer. He is at the helm of the coaching staff since the 1988 season. Coach Tony Setzer is the 2006 A-Sun Coach of the Year as well as the 1990 SAC Coach of the Year. Under his guidance, the Running Bulldogs has been into its first NCAA Championship Tournament appearance in 2008. Moreover, he leads the team in winning the 2006 A-Sun Championship. Then, the team’s assistant coach is Bradley Morrison. He is a former head coach at Brevard College. Finally, completing the coaching staff is Dennis Puckerin, the university’s director of soccer operations.
