The Grand Canyon University Women’s Soccer Winter ID Camp is on January 14 at the Grand Canyon University Campus. It is set to start at 10:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM. Check-in will be from 9:15 AM until 10:00 AM. The camp is for all girls 13 to 19 years old who wants to play at the college level. This winter ID camp aims to enhance the participants’ technical skills and tactical awareness. In addition, it will also hold discussions regarding college recruitment procedures. Goalkeepers will have also their own skill specific training sessions. Participants will also have the chance to experience playing competitive small-sided and full-sided games. In general, the event will be a challenging but fun training environment.
Grand Canyon University, formerly Grand Canyon College, is proprietary, coeducational, research university in Phoenix, Arizona. The university consists eight colleges. Derek Leader is the Head Coach of the Grand Canyon University women’s soccer team since February 2016. He is an inductee in the IMG Soccer Academy Hall of Fame. Moreover, Coach Derek Leader is a United States Soccer Federation National “A” License holder. Then, the team’s Assistant Coaches are Malorie Rutledge, Jordan Day, and Blair Gavin. SebastianBrandonn is the Performance Specialist. Jordan Richmond is the Assistant Athletic Trainer. And finally, Daniel Roof is the Women’s Soccer Team Manager.
