Mercer University Bears Men’s Soccer Fall ID Camp

The Mercer University Bears Men’s Soccer Fall ID Camp will be on November 5 at the Mercer Bears Field. It is open to all male soccer players in grades 9 up to 12. Junior College male players may also join the event. The event offers a chance for outstanding players to be a part of the Mercer University men’s soccer team. Correspondingly, this training program simulates a collegiate training environment and competition. It emphasizes technical, tactical, and teamwork awareness development. The program is set to start at 10:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM. The training program is an initiative of the Mercer University men’s soccer coaching staff.

Mercer University is a private, coeducational university in  Macon, Georgia. It is Georgia’s oldest university. It is a member of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities. Furthermore, Mercer University’s School of Business and Economics has an accreditation from Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. And, its College of Education has an accreditation from the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. Consequently, the university is 133rd in National Universities, 2018 edition of Best Colleges rankings. It is also 39th in the Best Value Schools rankings. 4,500 and 4,000 are the current undergraduate student and postgraduate student population, respectively. The student to faculty ratio is 13:1. Mercer University 18 intercollegiate athletics teams. Its men’s soccer team is competing in the Southern Conference of NCAA Division I. Ultimately, the men’s soccer team has already 2 Southern Conference Championships.


Mercer University Bears Men’s Soccer Fall ID Camp Organizers

Brad Ruzzo is the head coach of the Bears men’s soccer team since June 2008. He is the 2014 Southern Conference Coach of the Year awardee. Under his leadership, the Bears men’s soccer has already a Southern Conference Regular Season Championship and a Southern Conference Tournament Championship. Additionally, Coach Ruzzo is a USSF A license holder. Then, the team’s assistant coach is Emmett Rutkowski. He is a USSF National B license holder. Marcus Aldaba is the Bears graduate assistant coach. Finally, Ian Antley is the volunteer assistant coach.
