The Morningside College Women’s Soccer Summer Camp is open to both boys and girls, 7 to 17 years of age. It is a 4-day soccer camp that will run from June 19 until June 22. This is an excellent ground to learn the fundamentals of soccer and at the same time improve existing soccer skills. Furthermore, the event will cover both the technical and tactical aspects of soccer. There will also be 5v5 and 11v11 games. In addition, goalkeepers will also have their specialized training sessions. This training camp will take place at the Olsen Stadium, in Morningside College campus.
Morningside College is a private, coeducational, liberal arts college in Sioux City, Iowa. It is an affiliation of the United Methodist Church. The institution is using a semester-based academic calendar and it is offering more than 65 majors and pre-professional programs. Moreover, the Morningside College has an accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission. Its programs have also their respective accreditations from the Iowa Department of Education, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and the National Association of Schools of Music. Additionally, Morningside College is 54th in Regional Universities Midwest, 2018 edition of Best Colleges rankings. Morningside College athletics is participating in the Great Plains Athletic Conference of NAIA. The athletes’ nickname is Mustangs.
Morningside College Women’s Soccer Summer Camp Organizer
The Head Coach of the Morningside College women’s soccer team, as well as the men’s soccer team, is Tom Maxon. He is the 2007 and 2013 Great Plains Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year and the 2007 NAIA Region III Coach of the Year. Coach Maxon is also the 2004 Great Plains Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Coach of the Year. He is a USSF “A” Coaching License holder. Then, the Mustangs women’s soccer Assistant Coaches are Brandon Wylie, Maggie Wylie, and Jackie Martinez.
