University of Akron Zips Men’s Soccer Residential and Commuter Camp

The University of Akron Zips Men’s Soccer Residential and Commuter Camp is geared for players who aspire to play in college. It is going to introduce them to the training routines and mindset of a college soccer student-athlete. This program also aims at providing the players with the tools that will help them achieve their potential. Moreover, this soccer camp is set to run from the 19th of July until the 22nd of July. It is open to all boys 10 to 18 years of age who are serious about taking their game to the next level. The camp registration fee is $595 for residential campers and $500 for commuter campers. This registration fee includes a free camp t-shirt.

University of Akron Zips Men’s Soccer Residential and Commuter Camp Organizers

Leading the University of Akron Zips men’s soccer team is Head Coach Jared Embick. He is now in his sixth season at the reins of the Zips men’s soccer program. Coach Jared Embick is an alumnus of Indiana Wesleyan University. He is now holding an overall coaching win-loss record of 79-23-11. Additionally, Coach Jared Embick is the recipient of the 2010 National Assistant Coach of the Year Award. Prior to the head coaching role, he was the team’s associate head coach and recruiting coordinator. Then, the University of Akron Zips men’s soccer assistant coaches are Leo Chappel and T.J. Kolba. Coach Leo Chappel is now in his fourth season with the coaching staff. He is a bachelor’s degree graduate from Ohio Wesleyan University. Ultimately, Coach Chappel is the 2004 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Assistant Coach of the Year awardee. He was part of the UCSB’s 2006 NCAA National Championship team. Meanwhile, Coach T.J. Kolba is in his third season with the coaching staff. At the same time, he is the team’s camp manager. Coach  T.J. Kolba is a bachelor’s degree in marketing and logistics graduate from John Carroll University. He is also a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) “A” coaching license holder. Finally, Ger Coppinger is the goalkeeping coach.
