University of South Carolina Gamecocks Women’s Soccer Elite ID Camp

The University of South Carolina Gamecocks Women’s Soccer Elite ID Camp is a two-day training program that will run from the 3rd of August until the 4th of August. This soccer identification camp is intended for female soccer players in 8th up to 11th Grade who are aspiring to play at the college level. In addition, this event is going to take place at the leading-edge Stone Stadium which is in Columbia, South Carolina. The camp is set to start at 5:00 PM on Day 1 and end at 3:00 PM on Day 2. The program includes a college recruiting process information session. Furthermore, the camp registration fee is $175 per player.

Leading the University of South Carolina Gamecocks women’s soccer team is Head Coach Shelley Smith, a native of Chapin, South Carolina. She is at the reins of the Gamecocks women’s soccer program since the 2001 season. Coach Shelley Smith is among the NCAA’s most coveted coaches. In fact, she is a four-time SEC Coach of the Year awardee and a two-time National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Regional Coach of the Year awardee. Coach Smith is also the 2000 National Coach of the Year and the 1998 Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year. Under her guidance, the University of South Carolina Gamecocks women’s soccer team has already four SEC titles and a College Cup appearance. Overall, Coach Smith’s coaching win-loss record is now 262-143-46. Then, the Gamecocks women’s soccer associate head coach is Jamie Smith. Coach Jamie Smith is now in his 18th season with the Gamecocks women’s soccer coaching staff. He is a bachelor’s degree graduate from Providence College. Coach Jamie Smith is also a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) “B” coaching license holder. Additionally, Jamie Smith is among the recipients of the AFLAC Assistant Coaches of the Year in 2003. And finally, the team’s assistant coach is Clark McCarthy, a native of Columbia, South Carolina. Coach Clark McCarthy is now in his third season with the coaching staff.
