We are an NCAA Division II school that competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, one of the most competitive leagues in the country. We offer a small college atmosphere with lots of individual attention.

Founded in 1921 as a teachers’ college, Adams State is a university offering undergraduate majors, minors and emphases.  ASU also offers master’s degree programs and a doctoral program – most offered online. New academic programs are developed to address student and societal need. As the Regional Education Provider for southern Colorado, Adams State is crucial to enhancing the area’s educational opportunity, economic development, and cultural enrichment. Adams State emphasizes its historic commitment to under-served populations, including underrepresented minorities, first-generation, and low-income students.

Doris Sullivan
Head Coach

Sullivan graduated from Olivet College in Olivet, Mich., in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Her 62 career goals and 147 career points both continue to rank second in the Olivet record books, and she was twice named a First Team All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) performer.
Sullivan joined the Grizzly men’s team as an assistant coach for the fall 2011 season, and helped the ASC men to post their best season in the program’s 3-year history. Prior to joining the Grizzlies, Sullivan pulled double-duty for seven seasons as an assistant at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich., while also serving as the girls’ head coach at Williamston High School.

Prior to attending Olivet, Sullivan was a 4-year starter and all-conference player at Lansing Catholic High School, and was a member of the All-State Dream Team as a senior.

Our university has approximately 3,500 students and offers first class educational and athletic facilities. Our newly built and remodeled campus offers smart classrooms, wireless internet, and cable in all living quarters. Adams State University is a great place to earn your degree while playing soccer.
