2017 Cal Poly Pomona Women’s Soccer College Prep Camp

The 2017 Cal Poly Pomona Women’s Soccer College Prep Camp is a 2-day camp from July 15 to July 16, 2017. It will take place at the state of the art Cal Poly Activity Fields. The camp is ideal for female soccer players who aspires to play at the collegiate level. The daily schedule will start at 9:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM. This program aims to enhance the player’s technical skills and tactical understanding of the game. It will also include discussions regarding college recruiting processes. Goalkeepers will have also their own training sessions. Participants will experience competitive small sided and full sided matches. Overall, the camp will be a challenging but fun experience.

California State Polytechnic University, Pomona is a public coeducational university in  Pomona, California. It is a member of the California State University system. It is also an affiliation of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges as well as the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. The university is 31st in the  Regional Universities West 2017 rankings. It is also 4th in the Top Public Schools rankings. Currently, it accommodates around 25,400 undergraduate and graduate students. The student to faculty ratio is 25 is to 1. Moreover, the university sponsors 10 intercollegiate sports teams. They call themselves the Broncos. Green and gold are their identity colors. They are participating in the California Collegiate Athletic Association of NCAA Division 2. The Broncos women’s soccer team has already 4 NCAA Tournament appearances.


2017 Cal Poly Pomona Women’s Soccer College Prep Camp Organizers

Jay Mason is the new Cal Poly Pomona women’s soccer head coach. He is the former St. Edward’s University women’s soccer team assistant coach. During his playing years, Coach Mason is a Runner-Up Male Athlete of the Year and at the same time a Heartland Conference Goalkeeper of the year. He is also an All-Conference First team selection. Then, the team’s assistant coach is Katie Smith. She is the former Cal State Bakersfield graduate assistant coach. Finally, the team’s program associates are Daniel Richards, David Diaz, Fabio Tovar, and Adrian Villasenor.
